45 years or older
Considered to be at average risk for colorectal cancer
Has reservations about participating in a fecal-based test or undergoing invasive imaging procedures to screen for CRC
How BeScreenedTM-CRC Works
BeScreened™-CRC tests for three blood-based proteins that are involved with colorectal cancer’s immunological activities involving the formation of tumors, tumor generation, and tumor invasion, progression and migration. Once the test is complete, results are reported as either Negative or Positive for the likely presence of CRC. Patients who receive negative results are recommended to stay compliant with existing, patient specific screening guidance. Patients who receive positive results are recommended to follow-up with their physician for consult and to schedule a screening colonoscopy.
BeScreened™-CRC is not a test for colorectal cancer diagnosis; it is a screening test that aides in the detection of colorectal cancer and is not intended to replace a colonoscopy.
Insurance Coverage for BeScreenedTM-CRC
BeScreened™-CRC reimbursement coverage and payments are subject to each patient’s individual plan’s deductible and co-pay policy. Please check with the patient’s policy and contact the applicable payer customer service representative for reimbursement coverage determination. The applicable Reimbursement CPT Code is 0163U and Diagnsotic Codes can be Z12.9, Z12.11, Z12.12 and Z12.13. BeScreened™-CRC also qualifies under all health saving account/flexible savings account (HSA/FSA) plans. While reimbursement is not guaranteed, Beacon Biomedical can bill all private insurance plans on the patients behalf including, but not limited to:

BeScreened™-CRC is not currently covered by Medicare and is only covered by Arizona AHCCCS program with pre-approval.
